But after the installation of this hack I tested trackbacking from other blogs – and now the TBs of this blogs is not more shown. Likely because the trackback-URL needs now a code too?

It doesn’t make it “bad” or anything, but if you upgrade or do other changes, it might break. It’s important to ensure that people understand the difference between a code hack and a plugin. :)
