Try that, and if it doesn't do the trick for you, read some of the comments near the top of includes/bootstrap.inc. I think you’d put it in http://www.domainname.com.new_site.

But i have a unique issue. I need around 15 subdomains with almost different content. But need few common ones which can be created on any of the subdomains.
